Weekend Workshops
Administrative Policies
FSM requires payment in full for all Weekend Workshops. You may register up to the date of a workshop. Space is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.
Early Registration Discounts
To receive an early registration discount your payment in full must be received one month prior to the date of the workshop. Please note that not all workshops offer an early registration discount.
Cancellations
FSM's decision to cancel a workshop will be made by the Registration Deadline to provide sufficient time for the students to cancel travel reservations and/or accommodation arrangements. The FSM Registration Deadline is seven days prior to the first day of the workshop, unless otherwise noted. In the event of cancellation, FSM will notify each student registered and a refund for the amount paid will be made within five (5) business days.
In the event of a cancellation by a workshop participant 7 days or more prior to the workshop date, FSM will retain a $20 processing fee and refund the remaining amount of payment.
If a workshop participant cancels with less than 7 days until the workshop date, THERE WILL BE NO REFUND.
Building Use Policy
Students using the building:
- Park in the side parking lot only.
- Use the back door only.
- No one is allowed in the building except those participating in a workshop.
- Absolutely no food or drinks are allowed in the building.
- FSM is not responsible for any damaged, lost, or stolen property brought to or left on campus.
Supplies & Equipment
Please bring the following to any workshop you wish to attend (unless otherwise noted in course literature): Hands-On: Sheets, two towels, standard size pillow, lubricant, paper or notebook, pen or pencil, lunch or snack if desired. Lecture or Seminar: Paper or notebook, pen or pencil, lunch or snack if desired.
"Walk-In" Students
Any student arriving to class who is not pre-registered is considered a "walk-in" student. These students MUST register and pay in full before class begins. No exceptions will be made.
Registration and Attendance Records
Florida Law requires that educational facilities offering Continuing Education courses retain a record of each course presented by means of registration forms and attendance records. It is the responsibility of the student to be registered, with all balances paid, before class begins, as well as to sign-in on daily attendance sheets provided by FSM and distributed by the class instructor. NOTE: If a student does not sign-in on the daily attendance sheet each day the class is in session they WILL NOT receive full course credit. No exceptions will be made.
Certificate of Attendance
A certificate of attendance will be provided at the end of the course. Please retain your certificate for no less than four (4) years. Do not mail it to the Board of Massage Therapy (unless you are audited). Replacement certificates obtained from FSM are available at a cost of $10.00 per certificate.
